After several attempts to make contact with Louis Price, who lived on Old Highway 24 in McComb, Mississippi, Price's son and grandson went to his home to check on his welfare. To their horror, they would find the lifeless body of Price on the floor of his bathroom at around 7:45 p.m. on May 17, 1991. Price was lying in a pool of blood. Law enforcement officials were phoned and arrived to begin their investigation.

Pike County Sheriff Billy Simmons said that investigators believed the motive of the homicide to be robbery. They would allow family to come look through the house and note anything that may be missing.

Simmons stated that the autopsy of Mr. Price revealed he had been shot three times in the back with a small caliber weapon but that the weapon was larger than a .22 caliber. He was shot by a person who was at close range which was estimated to be about two to five feet away.

Louis Phillip Price was 83-years-old at the time of his murder. His murder has never been solved and remains cold at this time.

If you or someone you know has any information related to the robbery and murder of Mr. Louis Price please contact the Pike County Sheriff's Office.
